Don't assume that because we provide a high end service that we will exceed your budget. This page gives some generalised examples of our pricing. However, in some circumstances our pricing can be as low as just R30.00 per guest for an average size function. That is far below the average cost of catering for your guest.
So regardless of whether you are planning a small home party or you need to
launch a new product, or host a fashion show, or impress your clients and staff with a
special party or are planning your dream wedding or are having a
1000 people over for a massive event, we would love you to discuss your needs with us.
WEDDINGS:
Very few couples ever realise how significant the choice of good musical entertainment is to the success of their wedding day. A talented selection of great music combined with mood-enhancing lighting can live in the memories of the couple and their guests long after good food and pretty flowers are forgotten.
Because you cannot “do-over” a wedding, we invest a high degree of forward planning into any wedding. Typically, weddings have a more involved setup, and more detailed playlists than other functions. In addition, the DJ needs to be set-up and ready long before guests arrive, and he is always the last to leave.
Our standard wedding setup includes “Romantic” and “Party Lighting” effects, but lots more effects are available if you have plans that are more imaginative.
For a wedding of fewer than 200 guests, you can work on a fee of around R500.00 per hour for the duration of the event, which would include the DJ, the lighting & the sound. More guests would require some additional equipment, and we would suggest that we chat so that we can give you a tailor made quote.
CORPORATE EVENTS:
Typically, corporate events tend to be fairly short, (4 hours or so) since staff come from work and still have to get back to other commitments, and a skilled DJ is required to make this diverse group of people interact easily in this social setting. He also has to make every moment count and has to build that mood quickly.
We have been attending to the needs of large corporations, (and the function co-ordinators who assist them) for over ten years now and we are proud to say that many of our clients book us year after year, mainly because we understand that our corporate customers require good value and excellent service.
Corporate events are discounted to event & function co-ordinators who would like to sub-contract us out. We are also able to provide these industry professionals with a variety of special lighting and pyrotechnic effects, including digitally pre-programmed and controlled, stage and mood lighting effects.
If you are a function co-ordinator, we invite you to make contact with us directly so that we can work out a price that would be suitable for your function.
If you are planning your own corporate or work function, we would encourage you to calculate our rate at around R800.00 per hr for the duration of the event including the DJ, the lighting & the sound.
HOUSE PARTIES:
House parties are always a lot of fun for us, we especially love the informal setting and the fun interaction that the guests provide. We love the creativity and experimentation that comes from their various requests, and we always feel that we grow professionally from these one-on-one events.
We use a smaller footprint set-up compared to other event types and our standard house party rig comfortably provides good sound and lighting for gatherings of up to 75 people.
If you are planning a house party, we would suggest that you calculate the cost of the DJ at rate of around R300 per hr for the duration of the event, which would include the DJ, the lighting & the sound.
PROMOTIONS
Promotions are quoted on an ad-hock basis, so give us a call to discuss your needs. We enjoy the opportunity to interact with the community, and will reduce our normal rate if we are allowed to display some of our own promotional material.
COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANISATIONS
We frequently assist community service organisations on a pro-bono or shared cost basis. We value these opportunities to give back to the community when the circumstances allow.
GENERAL
We are flexible around these generalised prices, and can offer a “capped fee” if your budget is carved in stone and cannot be exceeded.
Prices include travelling to and from most Kwa-Zulu Natal destinations, but exclude accommodation. Most functions, even ones that end late do not require that the DJ have overnight accommodation, and it is really only required for remote, or Berg destination events.
Please include the DJ and his or her assistant in your catering arrangements, and arrange for them to not die of thirst while they are working. (Coke is fine) If for some reason this is not possible, let us know and we will ensure that they arrive adequately provisioned.
